A creative, mindful and collaborative activity for the elderly living in care homes.

How might we make a creative task accessible for the elderly who struggle with fine-motor control?

The activity includes matching two or more cards to form a creative prompt. In response, the coloured acrylic diamond tiles can be arranged to create patterns and images. The large thick tiles afford easy sliding and interaction for limited fine-motor ability in the hands. The large text and high contrast colours and shapes benefit reduced vision.

It is a creative task that requires problem-solving and focus. It can be completed individually or collaboratively to spark group discussion.
