STALAKTOS

The aim of this design was to utilise a full sheet (1200 x 2400mm) of 18mm BB Birch Plywood. The design uses one-sided 2.5D CNC machining and can be cut with a 10mm diameter cutter or smaller. The bench does not require adhesives or fasteners so can be easily taken apart.

The bench can seat two people and holds shoes for when entering and exiting the home. The design aims to highlight and mimic the layers in the plywood by featuring vertical lengths on the sides and front.
